1000 things...

I have 1000 things to do and study, but I only left with one month. There are 1000 ways to die, but I can only choose one. I have 1000 things to write on the exam paper, but I only left with so much time. I have 1000 words for you, but I don't know how to start. Although we are only 1000mm apart, it seems like we are 1000 miles apart. Why...

5 days of mock exams have passed. See, I am still alive, worst still, writing blog. It is not as suffering as the others described. Hectic. This is the word I want to use. Study every night until 1 o clock.

After I studied the chapters, I don't gain confidence or feel better prepared for the exams. Instead, the fear of not doing well engulfed me. If I am not doing well in mock, I won't be doing well in O levels. If I don't do well in O levels, my life is ruined. Is this easy.

Complacency ah. Careless mistakes all come in. Let it be Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics. For the first time, I got a B3 for Chemistry. I don't do well for Physics either. Mathematics... Forget about it. Despite of learning it 2 or 3 years ago, I couldn't do differentiation and integration today. I am such a failure...

I want to go back to Desa Jaya tomorrow... Such an opportunity to visit the school, teachers and friends. Although I am not in Desa Jaya for 4 years already, my memories are still there... Times when I ran around the whole school (you have no idea how big it is), finding students to do their cleaning duties in the recess. Times when the name of 5K was announced to be the cleanest class of the week. Times when we bought erasers and pencil lead box to make our own toy. Times when we were punished for not doing homework or well in exams. Times when we bullied each other during every lessons. Times when we talked about almost everything in class despite the teacher is teaching. Times when we are younger. Things tend to be more precious when it slips out of your hand.

Gopeng Trip (10th - 12th Sept)

I am officially 16! Woohoo! I can watch NC-16 movies in cinema, oh yeah! Celebrated my birthday twice, one on 9th and the latter one is the trip.

9th September 2010:

Celebrated my birthday at Yuxin's house. That was really unexpected. I went back to KL on that day and went straight to her house to pick my sister up. She said she made unde-unde. Yup. My sisters, brother and godmother said they cooked for me and my mom already. So, I called my grandmother not to cook my portion of dinner. The conversation started like this...

'Hey! Beautiful! Okay, here's what I want to tell you. First of all, listen, don't scold me first.'

'Hah! Okay.'

'Okay... The thing is this, godmother cooked for us already....'

'Walao!'

'Haha... Yeah. Just leave me 2 big big bowl of soup. I will finish it all for my supper. Okay?'

'Ahya... Okay lah.'

After that, we went up to their house for dinner. It was fun, it's been a long time I didn't see my little brother (not by blood, godbrother). He is getting cuter. After dinner, they brought in a cake! I was utterly surprised. God bless all my family members and friends, may all of them be healthy and happy always....

10th September 2010:

It's Gopeng! We reached Adeline's Rest House at 12 o clock after all the bumping and turning in the car. It's in the middle of forest. Haha, totally no network connection. Awesome. A getaway for the adults.

We stayed in villas. Wow. Initially, I don't expect to live in an air-conditioned villa in the middle of forest. It's really cool!

Today was my birthday. As we could not bring cake up, Miss Yeoh made red eggs in replace of birthday cake. Thanks!

We went to the waterfall. It was freezing cold. I shivered for the first 3 minutes.

Case Study:
Formation of waterfall started with river flowing at different resistant of rock, which is hard and soft resistant rock. Soft resistant rock eroded faster, hence there is a change in gradient in soft resistant rock. Water plunging has more energy, causing rapid erosion. Plunge pool formed at the base of waterfall. With swirling boulder and rocks, plunge pool is deepened. Base of waterfall eroded, causing waterfall to retreat.

Standing on the rock, and lying my back towards the waterfall. Letting the water flow violently on my head, I felt fresh.

Awesome dinner at Adeline's place. After that, the adults drank wine and had their chit chat time. For us, the kids, it's mahjong, poker and beer time! Oh, those time...

11th September 2010:

Went to White Water Rafting! New experience. Water rafting and body rafting. It's really nice. Dunhe was thrown down when we passed a rapid, he got to enjoy body rafting again... I want it too!

Case Study:
White water rafting requires rapids. River flows on alternating layer of hard and soft resistant rock. Soft resistant rock erode faster, cause a change in gradient in soft resistant rock. Forming miniature waterfall resembling steps and rapid is formed!

Reunion time for the kids in my cabin. Crazy afternoon. Jiahan and Yuqian were spanked by a 6 year old boy. Poor thing.... Gah! Who am I kidding :P

We had awesome dinner again, ABC soup today. Yay! Mahjong and poker tonight, no more beer tonight... Instead, I drank wine :)

12th September 2010:

Went to Kek Lok Cave and Kellies Castle. Awesome place!

At night, we went to Kumon for Karaoke! Yay! Uncle made sandwiches with bread that we did not eat at the trip. Sing till all we drop. I even lost my voice....

Overall, this Gopeng trip was awesome. Nice food and a lot of fun. However, I got sunburnt, bruises and scratches from white water rafting... Hit on rocks during body rafting... And I skinned my knees for falling down on concrete steps... Ouch...

Now, I am all charged up for the last lap. I will do my best for my o levels. I want to go to VJC. I want to get a scholarship to US. First, I have to study really hard starting from now! Discipline, Jiajing... God bless all of you people....

Holiday. Yeah, right!

"Hey! How's your first day of holiday?"

"IS THERE A HOLIDAY?!"

Holiday lessons everyday, like normal lessons. To be honest, I really don't mind lessons. The only reason I don't like it is that I am stuck in Singapore. It is just deplorable... Oh well, at least I got to go back for 3 days for a vacation and birthday celebration...

Damn it! I have thrown 50 dollars into the sea for useless talks and workshops (not literally). The school found some motivation workshop for O level students. Teacher claimed that the workshop teaches how to jot down important key points and other study skills. This is why Valerie and me suddenly changed our minds. It was so tempting to go.

They claimed themselves to be motivating and teaching us some skills on studying. Yeah, right. I am SO MOTIVATED. Realize I Caps Lock it. Crap, I just wasted 3 hours in an idiotic workshop. It sounded more like we motivate them by giving them money with those crappy workshops. Motivate them to continue to work although they are just so bad.

I've watched Camp Rock 2 :D

It was so awesome! Songs and content are definitely better than the first one. Ending was quite okay, generally happy :)

I wonder there will be more sequels or not...

Demi, Joe, Nick, Kevin and Frankie are just awesome!

Okay... I am really crazy about Disney already...

48 days to O levels. I really got to stop playing computer and watching tv so much. I shall stay in school more often and for longer period of time. I realized it is a lot more productive studying in school than 5 meters off that idiot box. The lighting in school is better as well. Lighting is rather poor at home, my eye sight is getting worse...

爱 = Deep Rooted Rancor

爱, a taiwanese drama shown in Channel 8 at 7.00pm, everyday. Yes. I mean EVERYDAY! It is bad enough to hear the theme song of it every weekday, ask the sky everyday, you think the sky is so free to answer you everytime is it?! (The lyrics of the song: 我问天) Worst still, 3 hours during weekends.

Blame the episodes and all the Aunties and Uncles in Singapore. There are 1400 of episodes all in total! Initially was shown on weekends, thanks to the massive number of episodes, they changed it to weekdays. Again, credits to the episodes, they decided to show it EVERYDAY! You might be curious why the Aunties and Uncles are involved. See, Channel 8 wanted a lot of people to watch their drama. So, who is their target audience? Aunties and Uncles of course! 7pm! Golden time! BAM! They win already lah!

There is a reason behind everything. The reason of this is because Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam collided with it. I've been waiting for the movie for more than 6 months! Tonight is the premiere and I am not able to watch it!

Then, people started to say.

"Sui lah you! 7pm is 爱, you sure cannot watch one!"
This is the group of the people I want to slap. I am irritated enough, you still want to trigger my temper!

"Don't worry. There will be reruns. Cheer up :)"
For this, I really appreciate. But all the reruns are shown at 7pm :( 爱,you bitch!

I now officially announce! I Hate 爱, to the very core! You suck!

I want to watch Camp Rock 2...

Disney US had shown Camp Rock 2 yesterday. And yet, I am still left hanging here, getting more and more impatient.

Seriously? I am already so impatient about it, countdown clock only appear to trigger my emotions...

Found this poster somewhere. Found it nice :P Junior rockers! Woohoo!

Starting today, I will be adding a section of 'Case Study of the Day', which will include things I learned in school. You might find this lame, but this can help me to revise and connect books with real life. I love experiments :)

Case Study of the Day: Three Pin Plug
Subject: Physics
Topic: Practical Electricity

Live Wire: This is where the current flows in, 240V

Neutral Wire: This is where the current flows out, 0V, voltage is given to the appliance already

Earth Wire: This is where current flows when there is a fault, 0V (unless you want the circuit to be faulty. In any other times, it shouldn't have any current passes through it). Should there be any fault during the process, a large current will flow in the live wire, and returns to the earth via the Earth Wire. It is used as a safety measure. Another condition is when the live wire exposed due to wear and tear, touches the metal casing of the appliance. The Earth Wire is connected to the metal casing so that when the metal casing become 'live', current will then be directed back to Earth with the metal casing. Earth Wire protects the user from electrocuted.

Fuse: It is inserted in the Live Wire, so that it will melt and break the circuit when the large current flows during the fault exceeds the rating. Hence, the appliance is disconnected from the high voltage of the live wire. This prevents excessive current flowing into the appliance.

Similarity and difference of Earth Wire and Fuse:
1) Similarity:
Both are safety measures
2) Difference:
Earth Wire protects the user while Fuse protects the appliance and the user as well.

How to wire a three pin plug?
1) By means of a wire stripper or a cutter, remove a sufficient amount of insulation from each of the three wires. Care must be taken to ensure that the wire strands do not break off.
2) The wire strands are then twisted together gently.
3) Secure the three wire strands to the correct terminal according to the color code by means of wrap round screws. Check that the insulation on the wires extends right to the pins.
4) Finally, tighten the cord grip to grip the cord firmly.

I need some motivation to study now... Complacency, procrastination and laziness, please get out of me immediately!

Jiajing! I want my CHEESE!

Last day of Term 3. It's a painful way to end the term though. Darn the Social Studies Mock Exam. I totally lost my concentration during the exam. Crap started to scribbled on my foolscap paper. To be honest, I can't even read my work. MY TRADEMARK WRITING. Too bad I did not take it down. One of the essay was 'how was international relationship such as UN critical to Singapore with no natural resources?' Nice one. I didn't even know how the idea of NEWater and self-reliant came to my mind. Must be out of mind already...

Well, way before the Mock Exam, we have gotten our report book back. Not surprised, I've known my results since last week already. What we looked forward was the comments by form teacher and yeah, compare marks... The comments on mine was absurd. I can't even accept it. It is just full of lies. Quote from a friend, "That is for your parents so that you won't be scolded too badly for the poor performance." Huzzah! Nice one. Quite true :P

As usual, went to Night Study Session today. Mandy was so impatient due to the delayed bread delivery. The arrival of the Indian Aunty caught everyone's attention, limping her way into the class and having 2 bags of bread holding on each of her hand, Mandy has gotten a little too excited. She went, "Jiajing! Get the cheese for me!" I just answered "SIAO!" Yeah, she settled down and continued to do her math afterwards. When Mrs Tang started to give out the bread, Zhengxuan went forward to take. Mandy gave him her SPECIAL ORDER.

"Zhengxuan! I want the cheese one!"

"Which one?"

"There! Is in rows one! Quick!"

"Okok!"

Zhengxuan went over. Mandy kept cueing him which one is her cheese bread. The sight of both of their actions and reactions was rather enjoyable. However, Mandy's cheese bread was taken by someone else and Zhengxuan was already coming back with 2 bread on his hand.

"Zhengxuan! That guy took my cheese already lah! All your fault!"

"Walao. You ask him to vomit out for you la."

By the way, this is the edited version. Zhengxuan left a sandwich on our table. Mandy only wanted her cheese. So it was mine :)

Photos taken from Mandy's handphone. I like the quality although it doesn't have the focus. It might not look nice but it was quite delicious :)

Instead of studying for the exam, went to Mcdonalds with Valerie and Samantha to buy Coke. Chatted while walking back to school. Accidentally found out I was manipulated by someone so that he could take over me for Additional Math. Well, you need help, help will be given, I won't reject you. Why do you want to have a motive behind it? It is just disturbing to know.

Thanks to Justin, I'm feeling better now. Smart guy, used my quote to give me advices. So, I've decided. As there is no harm helping, why not? I shall learn from him.

Camp Rock 2 showing in the US today... I still have to wait for 2 more days...

Thankfulness

It wasn't a good day though.

Mr Kong called for all Monitors after flag-raising. Indirectly told us that he was utterly disappointed about the Teachers' Day Celebration because the teachers weren't even greeted during the day. Mrs Tang did the same as well. I agree with them. Apparently, we did not even make an attempt to express our appreciation to the teachers.

I wish that my friends around me could be a little more sensitive about this. I mean, I wish they can be more appreciative and not take things for granted. I tried to ask two about making a card for a teacher, just to express our gratitude to her. Well, I was quite enthusiastic about it initially. What I got in reply was, 'I don't have the time to do these kind of stuff,' and whatsoever. How long can it takes?! It is not necessary to do it, of course. Anyway, it's our last year in CCKSS. A little memory won't hurt, will it? If you know me for long, I can't stand people who don't appreciate things that have given to them. Frustrated tantrum was thrown after the words were said. You have to know after these years, my temper has got better already. I won't get infuriated so easily. That was perhaps the 1st time I got so over in school.

I hope that they can think again what Mrs Tang said. Although teachers don't ask for anything, deep inside, these small actions means a lot to them. Believe me, my fellow friends.

Enough for the thankfulness already. My temper hasn't simmered down yet.

Played Captain Ball during PE. I would say that it is not my type of game. I'll still stick to basketball :)

Other interesting event happened today - Mrs Chuah talked to us. Feeling bad. Not because of scolding, more on delinquency though. Thanks to the poor prelim performance despite the teachers have tried and done a lot to help us. Results were flashed on the screen, I could see that there was a big gap between the actual MSG and the target MSG. I have to continue to work hard as well!

Haha. She gave all of us a pebble as motivation, to remind that all of us are unique. Well, I like to call it bribery :P

There is an obvious decline on my English Composition. Hope by writing blog will help :)

God Bless...
